LMD imposes Rs 7300 fine to erring traders 5/5/2016 11:52:41 PM Early Times Report Doda, May 5: A team of the Legal Metrology Department (LMD) headed by the Assistant Controller LMD comprising of Inspector Legal Metrology Bhaderwah conducted intensive checking of various business establishment of Doda town. During the inspection, the team challaned earring traders for violating provisions of J&K Standards of Weights and Measures (Enforcement) (Amendment) Act/Rules 2011 and were fined Rs. 7300. The department has directed all the traders to use only those weights and measures and weighing and measuring instruments for business transactions which have been verified and authenticated by the Legal Metrology Department and ensure that Maximum Retail Price (MRP), Date of Packing ( PKD), Net Contents and complete address of the Manufacturer/ Packer and consumer care number are declared on the commodities to be sold in package form.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
