DDC cautions revenue officials against mal practice, retrieves 75 Kanals state land | | | MS Nazki

Mendhar, May 5: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Poonch today ordered to cancel the Girdawani of allotters who have occupied the state land measuring 75 kanals in Dhera village where, under khasra No 689 by illegal means and directed the concerned Parwari and Girdawar not to indulge such in unfair means as they were under his radar, the sources said. Early Times had been highlighting the issue of alleged land encroachment in Mendhar in its previous editions and one of them was related to Dhera village in Mendhar Tehsil of Poonch District where 75 kanals of state land was allotted to some blue eyed and influential by the concerned Naib Tehsildar and Tehsildar in connivance with concerned Patwari and Girdawar just in lieu of monetary benefits. The official sources said, many a times law and order situation was created when Sub Division Magistrate Thakur Sher Singh had brought the matter into the notice of DCC Poonch MH Malik and sought his directions to keep the matter under control. The alleged land grabbers even had constructed concrete structures on the land and were adamant not to leave the occupation despite they were served several notices. Taking cognizance of matter, DCC Poonch M H Malik today ordered that 75 Kanals of land have been illegally allotted to influential people and the Girdawari of the same stands hence forth is cancelled with an immediate effect. Taking a strict stand, the DCC Poonch further warned the concerned Revenue staff to refrain from indulging in mal practice as they are on his radar and if they fail to take his warning seriously they have to face music.
