Doda, May 5: Tehsil Legal Services Committee, Doda issued summon to the Executive Engineer, Roads and Buildings and Junior Engineer, Division Doda to appear before the court on May 17.
A complaint was filed by Social Activist Ishtaq Ahmed Dev through his legal councilor, Advocate Amir Irshad Mughal and Advocate Sandya Thakur in which he had mentioned that steel stair constructed by the Roads and Buildings department between Bharath Road and Ghat road Doda to fulfill the needs of the pedestrians. But, the stair has turned a death trap for the school going children, old and ailing owing its wrong location. "Despite several reminders and visits to the concerned department about the matter, the senior ups were failed to relocate the stair since October 2014 from the site which is very dangerous for students, now I have filed a complaint against them in the legal cell," Ishtaq Dev said. He added, "we have also demanded relocation of the stair, action against concerned officers and compensation for of mental harassment. |
