| Middle school staff refuses to implement Deptt orders | | Education Minister demands report | | Early Times Report
Rajouri, May 5: Chief Education Officer (CEO) Rajouri has constituted three member high power committee to inquire use of un-parliamentary language by a teacher and in-charge headmaster of Boys Middle School (BMS) against headmaster of Girls High school while he was implementing government order.
Committee headed by Neel Kanth, HoD ,DIET will submit its report into alleged misbehave and non-compliance of government order by the school staff when Girls High School (GHS) headmaster visited middle school several times to take the administrative control vide Chief Education officer order Nos. CEOR/20401-62 dt 20/11/15 ; CEOR/24045-60 dt 22/12/15 & CEOR/2687-2746 dt 27/4/16.
Reliable sources in the Education department said that most of the staff members of BMS having strong political back and are close relatives of former Health Minister and Zonal Education Officer (Manjakot) under whose jurisdiction school operates.
On the directions of Education Minister, Naeem Akhter and vide above mentioned orders of Ch Altaf Hussain, CEO, Rajouri in the month of November 2015 had emerged BMS with GMS ( operating in the same building) and headmaster of GMS directed to take administrative control of the school. "Being close relatives of political leaders and senior officials of the education department, in-charge BMS and other staff members including Noor Jahan refused to obey the government order and continued to run the school" said a senior officer of the department.
On May,1 the matter was brought into the notice of Education Minister by the inhabitants of the area and on the directions from the Minister, Director School Education, Jammu asked Ch Altaf Hussain, CEO, Rajouri to investigate the matter including non-compliance of the directions (CEO orders) & un-parliamentary language used by the in-charge headmaster and teacher Noor Jahan.
Important to mention here that following continuous falling academic standard in government schools especially in middle & primary schools and because of very thin enrollment, the government (education Department) had decided to emerge/club such schools with higher secondary/high schools operating in the vicinity or in the same building. As the government boys school is functioning in the high school building at Manjakot it was also decided to bring under the administrative control of headmaster girls high school. But the in-charge and staff members ( having strong political back) not only refused to compliance the government directions but also continue to operate the school independently.
Taking the matter seriously Naeem Akhter, Education Minister has demanded to verify the people allegations and factual report in this matter. "As the minister was directly approached by the people against the staff members and in-charge boys middle school , Manjakot, an inquiry has been initiated in this matter. The factual report will be sent to Education Minister for necessary action in this matter which may include transfer/suspension or dismiss from service" said Ch Altaf Hussain, CEO vide his office order NoCEOR/MC/2891-94 dt 2/5/2016,CEO has constituted a three member high level inquiry committee headed by Neel Kanth, HoD, DIET & assisted by Aronash Sharma, principal HSS, Manjakot & Fazal Hussain, lecturer, DIET. |
