2 bootleggers held with 87 pouches of liquor | | | Early Times Report Samba, May 5: Police today arrested two bootleggers and recovered 87 Pouches of liquor from their possession during separate naka checking at Rajpura and Sanoora under jurisdiction of Police Station Ghagwal of Samba. "The accused have been identified as Mahinder Pal (Panch) resident of Village Randwal and Bhola S/o Shyam Lal R/o Chattisgarh presently at Kattal Barhamana, police sources said. According to police sources, a Police team led by Inspector Sauraj Pathania ,SHO Police Station Ghagwal laid a Surprise Naka along with Special branch Ghagwal at village Rajpura and Sanoora in the jurisdiction of Ghagwal Police Station in district Samba. "During checking of a scooty bearing regd no JK21B-2732 the Police recovered 44 Poly pouches of J&K Excise Liquor and three quarter of whisky from the possession of one Mahinder Pal (Panch). Yet in similar incident police apprehended one person namely Bhola S/o Shyam Lal R/o Chattisgarh presently at Kattal Barhamana with 43 Pouches on his bicycle. "Both the accused persons were arrested and recovered poly pouches of liquor were seized, police sources said. They added cases under FIR No 43 and 44 of 2016 u/s 48-A Excise Act, stand registered at Police Station Ghagwal. |
