ReT Forum warns State centre to solve 'SSA salary issue' | | | Early Times Report Udhampur, May 5: Serving an ultimatum, the J&K Ret Teachers Forum today warned State and Central government to release the pending salary of thousands Rehber-e-Taleem (ReT) teachers and Regularized ReTs working under Sarv Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) by May 25, otherwise Forum will announce a strong statewide protest. Addressing a press conference at Udhampur, State Vice President of ReT Forum Bhupinder Singh said that we are without salary from last four to six months and some regularized ReTs too have not received Pending salaries. "It clearly shows that State Govt and Central Govt are forcing us to adopt the agitational path, though we don't want to opt it, he added. Singh appealed Chief Minister of state to personally intervene in the matter and resolve the issue of pending salaries of ReTs so that thousands teachers working under SSA could get their pending dues cleared. Singh also warned education department for delaying regularization of ReTs especially the cases whose files are already submitted to concerned Chief Education Officers (CEOs) and Director Education Office. He also demanded regularization of ReTs who have attained their degrees through distance mode and female ReTs working in Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyala (GGBV) scheme. Kuldeep Katoach, Jatinder Kumar, Surjeet Singh, Parshotam Sharma, Kuldeep Singh, Sanjeev Sharma and Ajay Kumar were also present this press conference. |
