Retired police personnel stage protest | | | Early Times Report Jammu, May 5: All members of J&K Retired Police Personnel Non Gazetted Forum staged protest demonstration in support of their demands outside Press Club. They were raising slogans against the government. They criticized the Govt. Order No. 229-F of 2014, Dt. 17-10-2014 regarding Pay Anomalies. They demanded enhancement of Medical Allowance from Rs. 300/- to Rs. 3000/-, cashless health care policy be provided to the retired police personnel on the pattern of Army and other paramilitary forces, in recruitment of Police Departments and professional courses 15% quota should be reserved for the Police personnel, at least 50,000/- should be sanctioned at the time of death of retired police personnel / retires for performing the last rites of the deceased, recently the Central Govt. has issued ordinance regarding one rank one pension, State Govt. should also follow the same pattern in police Department, Mohammad Ramzan Bhat (Ret. ASI NGO No. 8273() who met with encounter at Pakharpora, Budgam on 05-0302006 has not been provided ex-gratia help till date. Only 20 thousand has been given to him for his treatment. For his treatment he has sold his 3 kanal of land and also taken loan of Rs. 1.00 lac against pension. As such it is requested that ex-gratia grant may kindly be provided to him. |
