Awareness programme on Financial Inclusion organized 5/6/2016 12:19:28 AM Early Times Report Kargil, May 5: J&K Grameen Bank under the Chairmanship of RK Chhibber in collaboration with NABARD organized awareness programme on the Pradhan Mantri's Social Security Schemes. VK Sharma Manager MF&FI Department informed the participants at length regarding the benefits of social security schemes named (PMJJBY) Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, (PMSBY) Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana and (APY) Atal Pension Yojana. He further informed the gathering that these schemes have been designed to provide security cover to the poor population particularly those working in the unorganized sectors. He advised the people to avail this benefit through nearest Grameen Bank Branch. He also made people aware of new Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (Prime Minister's Crop Insurance Scheme) in which the premium rates to be paid by the farmers have been brought down substantially so as to enable more farmers avail insurance cover against crop loss on account of natural calamities.
