Father of 2 held for 'raping' married woman | | | Early Times Report Rajouri, May 8: A man, who is father of two children, has been apprehended by police for allegedly committing rape on a married woman of his village. The accused was identified as Mohammad Younis (30), son of Mohammad Riaz of Gharad, which falls under the jurisdiction of Kandi police station. He was said to be father of two children. Police sources said the accused last night entered the woman's room after breaking the rear window hen male members of the family were out of the village to attend a marriage function. Sources said when the elder of her husband, who was in Kuwait, returned home at about 1 am along with his wife, he noticed some unusual movement in her room. He immediately locked the door from outside. His wife then asked her 'devrani' to open the door. In the meantime, the accused attempted to escape from the rear window, but he was caught by the family members and thrashed severely. He was later handed over to police. Source said while the accused was arrested by police, the woman was also got medically examined. A case under sections 376 and 429 of RPC was registered against the accused at Kandi police station. Further investigation in the case was in progress. |
