Early Times Report Srinagar, May 8 : Five oxygen points will be installed along the shortest Baltal routes to holy Amarnath cave shrine in south Kashmir Himalayas in addition to the medicare facilities provided last year, an official spokesperson said here today. He said most of the works on the Baltal route shall be completed by June 15, 2016. "The registration of ponies will start from tomorrow in central Kashmir district of Ganderbal for the baltal route," he said. In addition to the medicare facilities provided last year, five oxygen points will be put in place at different places enroute the Holy Cave, he said, adding for the first time 9 fire hydrates will be installed at Batlat and Domail. "The registration of ponies will start from May 9, 2016 in the office of chief Animal Husbandry officer Ganderbal. Similarly the registration of laborers including pony walas, pithoo walas, Dandi walas has already started from May 1, 2016," he said. Meanwhile, District Development Commissioner (DDC) Ganderbal, Tariq Hussain Ganai, directed all the officers from different departments to strictly follow timeline for completion of works that have been undertaken along the Yatra route. He also discussed in details issues pertaining to establishment of medical camps, sanitation, availability of essential commodities, traffic management, drinking water facilities, power supply, telecommunication, and repairs of roads enroute to the Holy Cave, with the officials. The DDC directed for installing sign boards regarding Yatra 2016 at different locations for facilitation of the Yatries. He also directed for repairs of roads and tracks enroute to the Holy Cave. |
