| Ambedkar Club pays homage to Baba Sahib BR Ambedkar | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, May 8: Ambedkar Club paid homage to Bharat Rattan Baba Sahib DR B.R. Ambedkar during celebration of 125th birth anniversary of Bharat Rattan Baba Sahib DR B.R. Ambedkar at Guru Ravidass Mandir RS Pura.
The programme started with floral tribute and well come address, on the life of Baba Sahib Bhim Rao Ambedkar This was followed by the introduction of the Ambedkar club and its activities at various places of Jammu region Ambedkar Club which was started about 2 years is purely a social organisation for pay back to the society and doing a lot for the upliftment of poor and depressed class in Jammu region. A skit on the life of Baba Sahib Bhim R Ambedkar and a cultural programme presented by Bheema Arad group, the Inqlabi Natak Manch.
On this auspicious occasion various speakers expressed their views on the life history contribution of Baba Sahib, who throughout his life worked for the uplifted downtrodden and women of the country. Baba Sahib is known for his outstanding and remarkable contribution in the filed of economy Polity and women empowerment. Dr B.R. Ambedkar a world legend was a chief architect of our constitution. Baba Sahib's Hindu code bill was a remarkable achievement for the women empowerment. His other contributions in labourer's empowerment were equal wages for male a. female, 8 hours working and provision of maternity leave in the constitution. He also contributed in the architect of our national flag.
The prominent among those who spoke on the occasion were Dr Mohan K Attri, Rajesh Bhagat, Manmeet K. Mottan, Harbans Lal Bhagat, Janak Raj Gorka, Dr. Jaswant Singh, Parveen Kurnar, Dr OP Thapa, Dr Bharat Bhushan and others. |
