Jammu, June 11: Dogri Sanstha on Saturday released Raj Rahi's book 'Bounsary Di Taan ' at KL Saigal Hall in the august presence of writers of various languages, intellectuals, artists and prominent members of civil society.
Published by Shakuntla Prakashan, Reasi, the released book incorporates eighteen short stories on social and psychological issues confronting rurality. Prominent Dogri and Hindi short story writer Dr Om Goswami was the chief guest on this occasion while Prof. Veena Gupta, former HoD Dogri , Jammu Universitygraced the function as special guest.
The book release function was presided over by noted writer, intellectual and convener, Sahitya Akademi's Advisory Board for Dogri, Dr Lalit Magotra,
In his welcome address, Gianeshwar, Vice President of Dogri Sanstha congratulated the writer and said that Sanstha being a representative body of writers is fully devoted to the development of Dogri literature . Raj Rahi thanked the Sanstha and presented a short story from his book which was liked by the audience. The literary function was conducted ably by Dr. Chanchal Bhasin, literary secretary of Sanstha while Dr Nirmal Vinod, presented the vote of thanks. |
