| Ministers to hear grievances at party office! | | |

JAMMU, June 11: In a clever move to regain lost fidelity by BJP ministers for failing to come to the expectations of public of Jammu, BJP has issued a schedule directing all ministers to attend the grievances of public by attending BJP office Jammu on rotation basis.
As appeared in a section of newspaper, the schedule of BJP ministers has been issued starting with Health Minister from 11June to be followed by others to listen to the grievances of public. The sources informed Early Times that flexible approach of BJP leaders and its party has attracted wrath of general public alleging that BJP leaders grossly lack tenacity of purpose and deviate from their earlier announcement of holding open public durbars in Jammu to listen to the difficulties of public and their redressal replacing it with another schedule.
Now abandoning their earlier plan of open public durbars in midway without citing any reasons which, if continued, could have proved more fruitful in the interest of people, said a BJP worker Balbir Singh Jamwal, adding that now BJP has invented another ploy to keep the activities of BJP ministers confined to a room in BJP headquarter at KachhiChowni Jammu for listening to public in camera instead of open public durbars. He pin pointed saying that new arrangement made by BJP party to restrict meet of public in BJP party premises will not serve the basic purpose of public hearing at large which will look like a place for party workers to feel comfortable for free interaction with their leaders turned ministers, further said, adding that for the general public it may not be a convenient venue to present their grievances freely due to unnecessary interference of their workers as it was experienced last month in open public durbar in R.S.Pura tehsil which was predominantly surrounded by party workers , he alleged.
Ram Rattan Bhagat , worker of a political party said that BJP party has devised an easy way to fetch general public compelling them to approach the BJP headquarter to seek help of BJP Minister who, he said, is now not the sole property of BJP as is being projected but the responsible representative of State government delegated with powers and authorized to sort out and redress the grievances of public on spot. He criticized the modus operandi of BJP to clandestinely motivate general public to protect and enlarge interests of BJP party on the pretext of public hearing in the premises of BJP party headquarter. This, he said, BJP has badly lost grounds in its constituency due to anti Jammu posture adopted soon after winning 25 assembly seats in 2014.
Seema Rajput, an educationist by profession, lambasted an odd style of BJP ministers' functioning in the government and said that it looks as if BJP ministers are encompassed more by sycophants at their working place than persons of prudence who are allegedly misguiding them to function negating the interests of Jammu people . She said that alone what BJP Minister will do in public meet and that too in BJP party office where majority of people belonging to different sections will hesitate to come in the premises dominated by BJP workers. Saying that it will defeat the main purpose of public meet and also It is probable that the government officers would rather prefer to attend such public meet in a venue other than BJP party office to help minister solve the public issues on spot . Is BJP party stealthily trying to steal the show by converting it into BJP workers meet on the government expenses involving general public and also people belonging to other political parties to woo them in the garb of general public meet for grievances redrassal, she questioned.
Recapitulating the last public Durbar of BJP senior most Minister at DakBanglowMuralia, Miran Sahib which met with utter failure due to mismanagement of BJP workers, Ramshwer Singh of Krishna Nagar while talking to Early Times correspondent said that during public durbar, one of the persons while showering praises on the performance of PM Modi wanted to express his views before minister, but instead of giving patient hearing to the aggrieved person, the BJP senior minister quipped him snubbing that no need to praise Modi neither refer to the Prime Minister which the followers of Modi felt insulted and criticized the minister by all present there. He alleged that the minister rather asked him rudely say what he wanted giving an impression of a teacher than a minister indicating that there was an academic interaction between the teacher and a student instead of a government representative and general public.
An old political worker being close to BJP said on the condition of anonymity that BJP ministers have made their debut in the arena of government functioning in state and they still appear naive to handle the general public, he opined,adding that high command of BJP should organize crash refresher courses on rotation basis for their ministers before they are asked to hold public meets for imparting them the art of maintaining public relations shunning their egoistic tendency. He said adding that they should learn to be kind and courteous with the public who are their mentor and can make or mar a politician and are not the government employees not to be dislodged till their retirement from service, he advised. |
