CAO's transfer order stayed

Kishtwar June 11: High court judge Janak Raj Kotwal has stayed the transfer of Chief Agriculture Officer (CAO), Kishtwar, who has been shifted to Rajouri. The court observed that government order No 148-Agri of May 25, 2016 to the extent of posting of Ramesh Kumar Baghat, incharge Assistant Agriculture Chemist, Jammu, as incharge DAO (E), Kishtwar, has been issued in ignorance of the interim direction issued by this court vide order dated May 24, 2016 whereby transfer and posting of petitioner Sunil Kumar Kapahi, incharge CAO, Kishtwar, as incharge DAO, Rajouri, was stayed. Justice Kotwal said in view of the interim directions issued by this court, the petitioner had to continue as incharge CAO, Kishtwar, and no one could be posted against this post till further orders."Subject to objections, government order No 148-Agri of May 25, 2016 to the extent of giving additional charge of CAO, Kishtwar, to Ramesh Kumar Baghat shall stay and interim directions issued by this court on May 24, 2016 be given effect," reads the court order.
