Early Times Report
Jammu, June 11: High court judge Janak Raj Kotwal today ordered that a status quo be maintained with regard to four posts of JEs that were earlier assigned to SC category candidates. The court directive came in a petition, seeking direction to respondents for restraining them from diverting the four SC category posts (which have been kept unfilled) to ST category candidates by illegally applying the 100-point roster. Justice Kotwal, after hearing the petitioners' counsel, issued notice to SSRB and PWD and pointed out that the issue raised in this writ petition had already been raised before this court in in which some interim direction had been issued. In order to avoid conflicting directions, let both the cases be listed together in the week commencing June 27, 2016. In the meantime, till next date before the bench, status quo as on today with regard to the four posts, which were earlier assigned to SC category, would be maintained. (JNF) |
