Mandi and Poonch without Tehsildar for over two months 6/11/2016 11:41:42 PM Rajesh Tandon Early Times Report Poonch June 11: People hailing from the tehsil of Mandi and Poonch of Ponch district are suffering on account of non availability of the government functionaries i.e. the Tehsildar which is causing lot of inconvenience to the people living in the area for the last two months. Former tehsildar Mandi Aqil Naveed and Poonch Wakeel have been relieved from their parent postings and have left respective postings the last week of March and since then the people of area are facing lot of problems in getting their works related to revenue department. In this regard Early Times already had published a news item highlighting the miseries of the people in absence of revenue officials, but no action has yet taken by government in this regard. Sources in this regard said that the people are suffering much due to absence of tehsildars in both the tehsils. The locals said that the government has become failure to provide basic necessities to the people of Poonch and Mandi. Only look after Niab Tehsildars have been settled instead of tehsildars in Mandi and Poonch who have some limited powers. People of both the tehsils are facing problems and demand for early postings of tehsildars in Mandi and Poonch.
