Talks with Pak, separatists included in agenda of alliance | | | Early Times Report Anantnag, June 11: PDP chief spokesman Saturday said that talks with Pakistan and separatists groups were included in agenda of alliance. "It is clearly mentioned in the agenda of alliance that there will be talks with Pakistan, Hurriyat groups and that will end alienation among the Kashmiri youth," Dr Mehboob Beg, PDP chief spokesman, told reporters on the sidelines of a function held here to observe the death anniversary of his father Mirza Mohammad Afzal Beg. "It is clearly mentioned in the agenda of alliance that there will be talks with Pakistan, Hurriyat which means that alienation among the youth can only be ended through these means," he said. "Only one year has passed and I assure you the agenda will be implemented in the years to come in letter and spirit," Beg added Accusing NC of betraying his father, he said his father was the brain behind Land Reform Act. He said that when everybody deserted Shiekh sahib, it was his late father who held his hands but 'NC betrayed him and never acknowledged his contribution'. On former RAW chief's remarks that Mehbooba was inexperienced and all was not well within PDP, Beg said that it is the people of Kashmir who will judge the performance of government here. "I fail to understand why and for what purpose everyone tries to be expert on Kashmir politics. Let the people of Kashmir judge and comment on which party has done what ," Beg said. |
