Srinagar, June 14: Minister for Health and Medical Education, Bali Bhagat today informed the House that 133 employees were found as illegal appointees in the Health Department of Kashmir division, after Audit & Inspection Department conducted inspection during the year 2012 and raised certain observations against 2274 employees. While replying to a question of Dr. Bashir Ahmad Veeri, the Minister said the Department constituted Divisional/District level Committees to scrutinize the cases of these employees. The Minister informed that a departmental enquiry was conducted in this regard in which 17 officers/officials were found involved and action was taken against those who made these appointments. Bali Bhagat said that 3, 49515 patients were treated in OPD sections of MCCH, Anantnag and SDH, Bijbehara from April 2015 to March, 2016, while as 24,729 were treated in these health institutions in April 2016. Referring to the death of a young expectant lady in SDH Bijbehera, the Minister informed according to the factual details of Committees constituted by the Department to ascertain the cause of death was post-partum hemorrhage. He said that the Medical Superintendent of the hospital was attached with the Directorate of Health Services, Kashmir. Sofi Yousuf raised supplementary to the main question. |
