Pak minister directs separatists to oppose Sainik colonies, foment trouble | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, June 14: Pakistan has once again interfered in our internal matters by terming the establishment of Sainik colonies in Kashmir as a threat to peace in south Asia. He has even asked Pakistan stooges (separatists) to oppose setting up of Sainik colonies in Kashmir. Pakistan Minister for Kashmir Affairs Chaudhry Mohammad Barjees Tahir has said the "Resolution of Kashmir dispute under United Nations resolutions guarantees durable peace in the region. Indian hegemonic designs have put peace of South Asia at stake. India has accelerated state persecution in Kashmir." Barjees also condemned the "Establishment of colonies for army personnel in Kashmir on the pattern of Israel and said that Kashmiri people will foil these attempts." An analyst while talking to Early Times said, "It's ridiculous that Pakistan is interfering in our internal matters and is issuing direct threats to our country. One fails to understand what Pakistan has got to do with the establishment of Sainik colonies in Kashmir. Pakistan should refrain from poking its nose in our internal matters and concentrate on the mess which the country is in." He said, "Barjees' statement that Kashmiris won't allow Sainik colonies to come up is a clear message to separatists that they should foment trouble and make all the possible attempts to vitiate peace in volatile Kashmir Valley." A defence analyst said, "It seems Pakistani leaders have forgotten that Kashmir is a settled issue and it's a no dispute. The UN resolutions which Pakistan is talking about have become outdated and have lost relevance. The only issue which India has to settle with Pakistan is the part of Kashmir which has been occupied by Pakistan. The Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) is a part of India and Pakistan should vacate this territory without any delay. The PoK has become a breeding ground for terrorists and the terrorists which Pakistan pushes into this side are trained in the camps at PoK." He said, "Our politicians should sit together and give a nod to Indian Army to target the terrorists camps operating in PoK and liberate that part with India. Once the PoK is liberated Pakistan would stop harping about Kashmir being an issue and it needs to be settled according to the UN resolutions." He said, "As its people of Gilgit and Baltistan are not happy with Pakistan government and they have already raised a banner of revolt. Time is ripe to capture PoK and its Northern areas to end the so-called Kashmir dispute once for all." Referring to the setting up of Sainik colonies in Kashmir, the analyst said, "India should ask Pakistan to shut up once for all as it has got nothing to do with Sainik colonies coming up in Kashmir. It's unfortunate that Pakistan considers our desire for peace as our weakness." |
