Two day workshop concluded on 'Disaster Management' 6/15/2016 12:10:17 AM Early Times Report Jammu, June 14: Two day workshop on "Disaster Management" organized by Social Science Wing of State Institute of Education Jammu under the supervision of Mohd Iqbal, Principal SIE Jammu concluded here today. According to press release, the objective of the workshop was to train the teaching faculty about the disaster management skills who in turn will teach and create an awareness among the students to act cautiously and take preventive measures during any disaster. In total 33 teachers and DIET's faculty from various districts of Jammu Division participated in this workshop. The programme was coordinated by Rakhi Atri, Research Officer SIE Jammu and facilitated by Kulwant Kour FA Incharge of Social Science Wing SIE Jammu. A team from J&K SDRF 2nd Battalion headed by Deputy Superintendent, Sunil Kesar demonstrated various indoor skills/management along with an interactive session. The valedictory session was presided over by the Joint Director (trgs)/Principal SIE Jammu Mohd Iqbal who deliberated upon the need of organizing such workshops and emphasis on participants to cascade the same in their respective districts.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
