BJP govt perusing anti former policy: Sham Lal | | | Early Times Report Jammu, June 22: Senior Vice-president of JKPCC and former Minister Congress Sham Lal Sharma today accused the BJP-PDP government in the state of adopting "anti-farmer" policies which led to their woes. Speaking on "Kissan Samelan"at Jatwal, Kathua Sham said that the present Centre and State government had promised to farmer community that the support price of their yields will be increased by 50% and the same is also incorporated in their election Manifesto. The Program was organised by Dewan Khajuria Chairman Kissan Cell Kathua in the presence of GL Chalotra Ex MLA, Pankaj Dogra PCC Secretary(working President Kathua),Sarpanch's Jagat Ram,Balak Nath,Vinay Sharma,Rakesh Kumar. Sham said that the BJP government has come to power and more than two years have elapsed but they didn't fulfill their promises. He said that the farmers are facing g hardships due to cost escalations and vagaries of the weather but neither union government nor the state government seems bothered toward farmer community. "Despite the announcement made by the State Govt of waiver on 50% Kisan Credit Card (KCC) loans, in the Budget session last year but due to non seriousness of the government, is still not executed. |
