Girl gangraped, 3 held 6/22/2016 11:31:16 PM Early Times Report Jammu, June 22:A girl was allegedly raped by four youth at Jhang in Vijaypur area of Samba Tuesday evening. Police sources said the girl was returning home at Arnia from the Swankha Mela along with her fiancé when four youth intercepted them at Jhang. They beat up her fiancé and then allegedly raped her, the sources added. After commiting the crime, all the accused fled the spot. The girl later brought the matter to the notice of Vijaypur police station. Acting swiftly on the complaint, police carried out raids in Jhang and its peripheral areas and were able to nab three of the accused, sources said.Sources said one Shimpa, alleged to be the main accused, continued to evade arrest. He hails from Jhng. Ramgarh police station SHO Ajeet Singh said a rape case had been registered against the accused.
