Early Times Report Jammu, June 23: Narwal police today claimed to have arrested a notorious criminal, who was evading his arrest since long in an attempt to murder case at Miran Sahib, and recovered 15 grams of heroin from his possession. He was identified as Dilbagh Singh, son of Janak Singh of ward No 4, Simbal Camp. A police spokesman said that on a specific information, a raid was conducted at Transport Nagar by Narwal police. However, on seeing the police party, Dilbagh along with his two accomplices fled. After a hot chase, cops -- Arjun Singh and Gurnaam Singh - caught hold of Dilbagh while the other two, identified as Ravi Kumar and Pawan, both residents of R S Pura managed to escape on a motorcycle. On his search, police recovered 15 grams of heroin. "He is a notorious criminal and is wanted by Miran Sahib police in an attempt to murder case," sources alleged. A case in this connection was registered at Trikuta Nagar police station under section 8/21 of NDPS Act. The spokesman said that he was involved in eight other cases. These cases are registered against him under sections 452, 323 and 341 of RPC and 4/25 of Arms Act at Miran Sahib PS, under sections 307 and 34 of RPC and 4/25 of Arms Act at Bahu Fort PS, under sections 341 and 323 of RPC at Miran Sahib PS, under sections 307, 341, 147 and 148 of RPC and 4/25 of Arms Act at Miran Sahib PS, under sections 307, 341 and 147 of RPC and 3/25 and 4/25 of Arms Act at Miran Sahib PS, under sections 307, 341, 323 and 34 of RPC and 3/25 of Arms Act Miran Sahib PS, under sections 170, 449, 458, 504, 506 and 34 of RPC and 3/25 and 4/25 of Arms Act at Miran Sahib PS and under sections 307, 341, 323 and 34 of RPC and 3/25 and 4/25 of Arms Act at Miran Sahib PS. |
