Edu Minster seeks reprimand of ReTs’ transferred against General Line Teachers
1768 panels of ReT's pending in state

Srinagar, June 23: Taking strong note of reports of transfer of ReTs teachers against the post of General Line Teachers, Education Minister today directed the officials of education department to reprimand all the ReTs teachers who were posted against the posts of General Line teachers to their original place of posting wherever the transfer was made in violation of the norms.
The directions from Education Minister comes in wake of the concern showed by the MLA who informed the education minister that large number of ReT's were transferred in Doda District against the posts of General Line Teachers in violation of the set procedure added that due to this many general teachers had turned surplus due to non availability of the posts occupied by the ReT's illegally.
Meanwhile in reply to A.Q No. 441 of MLA, the government stated that there are 1768 panels of ReT's pending in the state at various level for appointment due to the policy decision taken by the government vide order No. 631-Edu of 2015 dated 29-12-2015 read with Order No. 184-Edu of 2016 dated 24-05-2016 with regard to conduct of screening test for all such persons figuring in the penal o ReT's where the process of selection stands initiated added that the modalities for conduct of examination are being worked out and the examination for the same will be held soon.
As per details, Rajouri District tops the list of pending ReT panels with 366 panels followed by Ramban (196), Kishtwar (165), Doda (156), Reasi (143), Anantnag (118), Poonch (104), Udhampur (70), Baramulla and Jammu (56 each), Kupwara (50), Kathua (46), Bandipura (41) Shopian (46) while other Districts contributes nominal number of pending ReT's panels with Leh (2) and Kargil Districts with zero pendency.
The government further stated that the services of the ReT teachers were regularised on the satisfactory completion of five years of services, VEC furnishes a certificate about satisfactory performance of the ReT highlighting achievements and his/her overall conduct.
In reply to the question regarding status of the construction of DIET Doda, the government reply stated that an amount of Rs. 98.18 Lakhs has been utilised for land acquisition measuring 27 Kanal and 6 Marlas in village Manchan Doda for construction of DIET building while an amount of Rs. 6.75 lakhs were utilised for erection of boundary wall. The government reply however did not satisfy the MLA who rued delay in construction of the DIET building added that it seems that the construction of DIET building will takes years together if same modus of operandi was adopted and demanded for speeding up the process.
Reacting to the concern of MLA, Education Minister assured him that the matter will be looked into for early completion of the construction of the DIET building at Doda.
