People protest against CAPD Deptt, block road 6/23/2016 11:40:25 PM Early Times Report Udhampur, June 23: People hailing from two Panchayats i.e. Damnote and Lalli, today protested against Consumer affairs and Public Distribution (CAPD) Department for not proper distribution of ration supplies and also blocked the Udhampur Panchari road to register their resentment. Reports said that people of two Panchayats protested against CAPD Department alleging that they are being deprived of the ration supplies reasons better known to concerned officials. Agitated protestors amid slogans against the CAPD Department authorities alleged that there are no proper supplies of ration. "The rationees have to wait from morning to evening and even for two or three days to get the allotted ration, one of the protestors said. He said that even the ration card holders too have not been made aware about the quota of ration by the department. Locals demanded action against the concerned local CAPD Department officials who have failed to regularized the ration supply system. Meanwhile duer to the road blockades the vehicles on Udhampur-Pancheri Road came to grinding halt and later local police officials reached to the spot and on their assurance, the people lifted thweir protest.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
