Early Times Report JAMMU, June 23: Burglars struck at two places here on Wednesday night and decamped with items worth lakhs of rupees. Police sources said thieves broke into government quarter No 6 near a private school on B C Road and decamped with costlier items worth lakhs. The matter was brought to the notice of police by Rajni Qazi, the allottee of the quarter. In her complaint, she stated that the burglars struck when she was not in the quarter. An FSL team later visited the quarter and examined the spot. Another group of thieves struck at the house of Tilak Raj, son of Moti Ram Sharma, at Sarafa Mohalla, Nagrota, and decamped with gold jewellery worth lakhs. The family members had gone to hospital in connection with the operation of a family member. The theft was discovered by them when they returned home this morning, sources said. Cases in this regard were registered at the concerned police stations. |
