Jammu, June 23 : Coming heavily on the ruling party legislators in state assembly, who are demanding a hike in their salaries, Youth National Conference here has stated that amid these demand, the common man is languishing due to lack of proper governance while also stated that special budget session has been called for the comfort of ruling party legislators. In a press statement issued here, YNC Provincial President Ajaz Jan said that the demand of hike in salary and CDF is a surprise as instead of serving people of the state, ruling party legislators are eyeing their personal benefits. " They should demand enhanced developmental funds for new works and also to complete old ones and should demand hike in the funding of government schemes so that problems of common man are solved but ruling party legislators are eyeing their personal benefits " Jan said. He also stated that due to lack of governance in state, common man is languishing and ruling legislators are sleeping. Quoting examples, Jan stated that in Rajouri district, there are four MLAs, two MLCs and one board vice chairman from ruling party but the condition of several vital roads including Kotranka Budhal road is worst whereas the work of Mini Secretariat complex is lying close since long and all legislators are engaged in an infighting. Jan also said that dilapidated condition of road in Chenab velley, which is having legislators from both coalition partners, is a grave issue but ruling legislators are acting as mute spectators and innocent people are losing their lives in road accidents. He also termed the shortage of sugar on government stores in the month of Ramazan as a major problem for poor public. |
