Then CMO violates Minister's order with impunity | | | MS NAZKI Early Times Report Poonch, July 1: Ruling the roost the then Chief Medical Officer have violated Minister of State for Health and Social Welfare order for issuing disabled certificates to beneficiaries in the district official sources informed here today. Handicapped Association president of Arari Village in Mendhar tehsil Molvi Mohd Farid Malik while talking to Early Times said that he had approached MoS for Health and Social Welfare Aasiya Naqash in December last with a request to issue disabled certificates in favour of physically challenged persons of Arari Village sources said. The MoS had given a patient hearing to Molvi and issued a D.O letter vide No PS Public MoS/H& SW-187 dated 18-12-2015 directing the Chief Medical Officer of the district to send a team of doctors to the said village and issue disabled certificates in favour of deserving candidates the sources said. They said then CMO Poonch Dr Mumtaq Bhatti constituted a teams of doctors and sent them to Arari Village but only 54 physically challenged were issued the certificates while as 100 physically challenged were dropped by the team violating the MoS order with impunity by the CMO, sources added. They said the files regarding other beneficiaries was misplaced by two clerks in CMO's office who were reportedly identified as Asgar Ahmed and Mohd Qayoom. The people of the village have taken strong note of the act being committed by the officials in CMO's office with the connivance of then CMO Dr Bhatti, urged the District Development Commissioner Poonch MH Malik to take the cognizance of physically challenged persons plight who were denied the certificates for theirs no fault. They demanded a strict action against the officials in CMO's office who were responsible for missing the left over disabled persons of Arari village file, the added. |
