Early Times Report Jammu, July 1: Despite 'better' arrangements made by the state government for the convenience of Amarnath yatris at winter capital, the pilgrims have to face hardship due to closure of famous, registration centre located in Jammu Haat, near Press Club of Jammu. Registration for the Yatra couldn't be begun this year, the space where the centre was to be established is under maintenance. "The space where the registration centre was being established, comes under contrail of District Industrial Centre, Jammu", sources said, that unfortunately, it is major negligence on part of-so called "fighter for Jammu's rights". "Industry and commerce department is being headed, a BJP Minister and its was responsibility of BJP to ensure the hassle free registration of the pilgrims' coming here outside the state", said an officer, affiliated to yatra, adding that however, there several registration centres in the city,, due closure of famous centre, is creating hurdle for the yatries. "Today hundreds of Amarnath Yatries visited the Jammu Haat, to get registered themselves for pilgrimage, but due closure of the centre, they have to face difficulties", said a shopkeeper, adding that, yatra is regular feature and was responsibility of concern department to get ready, but unfortunately, the pilgrims have to faced hard ship to find other registration centre established other parts of the city. "We were expecting, good rush of pilgrims here for registration this year but, due non-availability of the space here, no option is left", said anther shopkeeper, adding that it exposes the preparedness made by the administration for the convenience of pilgrims. It is pertinent to mention here that despite claims made by administration, especially Jammu based minister to provide best facilities to the pilgrims, the pilgrims have to face hardship on the very first day of Yatra. |
