Early Times Report
SRINAGAR, July 1: Castigating state government for giving nod to increase the salaries of legislators rather than clearing the pending liabilities, Youth National Conference here has urged Governor of Jammu and Kashmir to roll back the decision. In a press statement issued here, Ajaz Jan Provincial President Youth National Conference Jammu said that salaries of daily wagers of government departments are pending since months while payment of works done under SDRF are still to be cleared and instead of using funds to clear these pendency's, government has given priority to swell the legislators' salary.
"Ruling parties' legislators should pay concern to resolve the issues of general public rather than increasing their own salaries," said Jan. While urging Governor to intervene in the matter, Jan said that decision of hike in salaries should be rolled back and the money should be used to mitigate the problems of people.
