| Lightening claims life of two persons, two goats | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 1: Two persons and two goats were killed after lightening struck at two different places of Jammu and Samba district.
Police sources said that a 38 year-old labourer and two goats of his brother were killed by lightening at village Dhanger falling under the jurisdiction of police post Jourian in Khour Tehsil, this evening.
The deceased has been identified as Bishan Singh (38) s/o Rattan Singh of Dhanger (Jourion).
Police said that as he came out of the house to take care of the live stock and it started raining heavily forcing him to take shelter under a mango tree along with live stock of his brother. Suddenly lightening struck upon the tree killing Bishan and two cattle.
Meanwhile, a 35 year-old man too died due to lightening at village Nathwal in Vijaypur of Samba District.
The deceased has been identified as Bawani Singh son of Jaipaul Singh resident of village Nathwal in Vijaypur. |
