Jammu, July 1: The victims of cross border shelling from Pakistani today staged a dharna and protest demonstration at Tehsil office Arnia in Jammu district to highlight their long pending demands. Raising slogan against BJP Government at Centre and State, the protestors led by Rajesh Padgotra Provincial President of JKNPP(J) reminded the BJP particularly at "Kothey Mahasha" Arnia the BJP Member of Parliament(MP) Jugal Kishor Sharma after attending the cremation of 6 persons of Kothey Mahasha had promised to give employment to nearest kin of the deceased and ex-gratia of Rs 10 Lakh and Two lakh to injured. "The similar announcement was also made by the then Chief Minister Omar Abdullah after cremation of six persons at Arnia," Pargotra added. "It is matter of grave concern that inspite of lapse of almost one and a half year time since 6 October 2014 nothing has need done in this regard, he said, and added Centre and state government have totally failed to full fill their promises. Protestors also targeted the Centre for not allotting 5 marla's Land in safer zone to each family were residing in border area like Arnia. Protestors warned if the centre and state fail to full fill their promises the NPP will start a strong stir are agitation against the govt. in nearest future. Among others Khajur Singh Sarpanch, Udheybir Singh, Raj kumar, Vijay kumar,Tarsem lal, Rattan Lal, and Maka Ram also addressed the protestors. |
