Congress- National Conference responsible for J&K problems: Randhir Singh | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 21: Former minister Thakur Randhir Singh NCP chief J&K state said that Congress-National Conference controversial actions are responsible for problems in J&K. As per press release issued, Singh said he resigned as cabinet minister in 1975 under Indira-Sheikh accord and was appointed only General Secretary with Syeed Mufti Mohd Sayeed as State President By Indira Gandhi to reorganize Congress party which was in shamble after taking over by Shiekh Mohd Abdullah as a Chief minister and Thakur was responsible for appointing Gulam Nabi Azad a fresh post graduate as State President youth congress who is responsible for draconian law Roshini Act which was practically implemented only in Tehsil Jammu and only rich people were benefitted and not poor people for whom it was passed. The J&K High court has passed the severe strictures against this act and also against many other but it is unfortunate no action has been taken so far. Singh said Late Mufti Mohd Sayeed with whom he worked as senior minister and General secretary for years was a good administrator ,pragmatic, secular and is responsible for ousting a family rule of Shiekh Abdullah , his son Dr Farooq Abdullah and grandson Omar Abdullah who made the J&K the second most corrupt state in the country and to some extent responsible for the present turmoil in the state who never allowed good people and opposition to grow in the state and rather did not allow some of the opposition to even contest the assembly elections. |
