The agitating CA&PD dealers while training guns on Assistant Director CA&PD Kishtwar alleged that despite assurance from the Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar during a meeting with the association on 25-2-2016, the department of CA&PD Kishtwar headed by AD CA&PD failed to release the commission amount into their accounts pending since October 2014 including the full payments for period when government announced free ration in the aftermath of September 2014 floods in the state of Jammu and Kashmir. The three week long strike by CA&PD dealers put the general public of Kishtwar to unnecessary harassment as they failed to get the ration for the month of July. While talking to "Early Times" members of Dealers Association Kishtwar said that the association has decided to suspended its strike for one week and they will resume their indefinite strike after one week if the assurances were not met. They said that they have also written a letter to Governor N N Vohra few months ago and urged upon him to look into the issue of non release of commission, beside also demanded enhancement of carriage commission from existing 5 percent. They said that due to introduction of new NFSA Scheme, the commission of the CAPD dealers will also get reduced and slammed the department for charging Rs. 7.28 for each empty jute bags while the market price of the same is Rs. 2 to Rs. 2.50. .Putting all directions issued by the Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar from time to time to whirlwind, Assistant Director Consumers Affairs and Public Distribution Kishtwar while failing to deposit the carriage commission of the dealers pending since last over one year despite the fact that AD CA&PD agreed in principal to release the carriage commission in favor of the dealers during several meetings with DC Kishtwar allegedly release payments worth lakhs of rupees in favor of the multi millionaire influential contractors and left the poor CA&PD dealers high and dry. They said that department is projecting liability of crores of rupees which actually belongs to contractors while the Liability of poor dealers is far less which need to be cleared on top priority. The dealers informed that AD CA&PD is hoodwinking the directions of DC Kishtwar and other senior officers of the department. "She is making fun of DC Kishtwar who fails to act against the erring officer who continued to ignored his directions " said dealers further adding that the officer even shocked them with her rude behavior on many counts which has resulted into further alienation. "We have in past requested for her transfer from Kishtwar---- but she uses the political influence of sitting BJP Minister and gets her posting secured" alleged the angry dealers. |
