| BJP MLA insults woman activist | | |  Early Times Report
Kathua, July 21: Despite' Beti Bachao- Beti Pardao' slogan, BJP practically disrespected a woman J&K Mahila Sehyog Mandal member who were openly insulted in public meeting Kathua.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi's slogan for empowerment of women practically proved to be superficial at ground level, no field has been left untouched wherein Bharatiya Janta Party workers do not try to dominate women. Similar incident occurred in District Kathua wherein MLA Kathua Rajeev Jasrotia and other BJP workers allegedly insulted woman member from J&K Mahila Sehyog Mandal, an NGO presented in a meeting of Rogi Kalyan Samiti, a centered sponsored organisation for the welfare of patients here in Kathua. Pertinently, Rogi Kalyan Simiti, a central sponsored organisation comprised members from all sections of the society, RKS works to facilitate patients and provides required help including financial assistance. It is alleged that MLA Kathua reconstituted the Simiti and inducted people from Rajput community than all sections of the society while violating Constitution of the Rogi Kalyan Samiti trust.
MLA suddenly asked Kailash Verma Chairman of J&K Mahila Sehyog Mandal to leave the venue immediately as she had been exiled from the Simiti. Kaliash Verma got shocked and disgusted wherein despite medical staff, BJP workers, media persons and prominent were also present on the occasion. Kailash Verma condemned dual attitude of Narendra Modi and his party workers who have disrespect feeling for women and dalit. She said " Modi Ji - Mahila Virodhi ji who left his wife, exiled Simriti Irani and his leader used foul language against Mayawati has proved that BJP superficially raised slogan for empowerment of women but disrespect at ground level.
Updesh Andotra, Director Women Development Corporation also condemned the incident occurred in the meeting and stressed to respect women on priority basis. Indu Rekha, District president Mahila Morcha BJP Kathua also expressed concern and demanded to have congenial attitude. She said the situation could be handled properly even the JK MSM members were exiled from the Rogi Samiti. When contacted MLA Kathua Rajeev Jasrotia, he discarded all allegation leveled on him and said the JK Mahila Sehyog Mandal was formally not invited in the meeting. |
