7/21/2016 11:08:53 PM
Early Times Report
Jammu, July 21: Panun Kashmir and ADKPUF, the constituents of the Joint Forum of KP organizations expressed dismay over the manner in which the PMs package youth employees had to return from Kashmir after having been subjected to a harrowing time in the wake of the conditions that erupted following the killing of Burhan Wani.
In a joint meeting today the members expressed concern at the recent turn of events in Kashmir that have re enkindled the fears and apprehensions in the minds of the beleaguered KP community regarding the safety and security of the youth who have gone to serve in Kashmir under the PMs employment package.
The meeting was attended by D.N. Kissu Chairman ADKPUF, Prof. M.L. Raina Chairman Political Affairs Comittee PK Virender Raina National Spokesman PK & Joint Forum, P.N. Raina, P.L. Sudeshi, Prof. G.L. Koul, Chaman Lal Koul, Chaman Lal Zutshi, Upinder Koul, Kamal Bagati, Vijay Qazi, Ravi Punjabi and N.M. Gadroo.
D.N. Kissu while addressing the meeting said that all Kashmir centric entities have voiced their visceral opposition to the re settlement of KPs in a compact manner in Kashmir. It is obvious that in a scattered module of KP settlements in Kashmir we would be sitting ducks for the attackers in any eventuality like we have seen in Kashmir in the wake of Burhan Wani killing.
Virender Raina in his address said that under these circumstances the resettlement of KPs in Kashmir is only possible in a safe, secure and separate Homeland, with built-in constitutional guarantees to ensure that there is no re-foulment in future.
M.L.Raina said that the govt is also urged to bring a bill in the next assembly session for the protection and preservation of the Temples and Shrines in Kashmir as under the circumstances obtaining in Kashmir the very existence of these places of reverence, worship and ancient antiquity is under threat of extinction.
The members unanimously appealed to the govt to grant minority status to Kashmiri Pandits and declare them internally displaced so as to bolster confidence in them and also urged upon the government to increase substantially the KP footprints in the politico-administrative set up of the state.
