Religious preacher turns conman | | | K Koushal Early Times Report Jammu, July 26: A self styled religious preacher, who allegedly possesses two state subjects, same number of voter identity cards and ration cards and even three firearm's licenses has been duping people for a longtime. How he manages all this has raised finger over the functioning of concerned offices? Besides his well placed connections, sources said. They said this so called 'Conman' has also been abandoned by the Sadhu Samaj. Sources claimed that a Conman who is originally a resident of Kathua and is presently residing at Pacca Danga has fraudulently managed to get all these documents. Documents in the possession of Early Times revealed that the Mahanat Ram Jeevan Dass, founder of trust Baba Dharam Dass Ram Jeevan Dass Trust, Sathu Barbar Shah Bishamber Nagar Srinagar had appointed Justice RC Gandhi as sole trustee of trust. Justice Gandhi attained the position of sole trustee automatically after the death of the Trust founder. Later, Justice RC Gandhi vide declaration dated 23-03-2012 appointed the Sadhu in question as sole trustee of the trust who was then head of the Sadhu Dharam Sathan Surakshni Samiti Jammu and Kashmir. He was expelled by the Sadhu Dharam Sathan Surakshni Samiti, a registered body headed by Mahanat Dutt Giri. Documents also reveale that Sadhu in question owns properties at Jammu, Udhampur, Srinagar, Reasi, Kana Chack including all other Dharamsalas situated across JK. Sources further alleged that the Mahant has sold these properties without giving any benefit to the trust. While talking to Early Times, Mahant Rameshwar Dass, Mahamandleshwar said these types of persons are blacksheeps in Sadhu Samaj and even in society. While Deputy Commissioner (DC) Jammu, Simrandeep Singh when contacted said that yet he is not aware of about this and if the case would be reported he would take cognizance of the matter. |
