Transfer controversy in Jammu Educaton Department Many heads may roll in Directorate 7/26/2016 11:56:42 PM Early Times Report jammu, July 26: As more skeletons are coming out of the cupboard in School Education Department, the concerned officers and officials have resorted to shifting blame on each other for the fiasco amidst reports that some heads may roll in the Directorate of School Education Jammu. According to the sources, the Minister for School Education Naeem Akhter has taken a serious note of the alleged irregularities and floating of transfer policy norms in shifting of the Masters and Lecturers after recently held Transfer Mela for Jammu Division. Commissioner Secretary, Higher Education, Shalin Kabra is learnt to have apprised the Education Minister about the blunders committed in affecting the transfers and postings. Sources said that the Education Minister is particularly peeved over floating of norms of the Transfer Policy, which was formulated and announced by none but him with much fanfare and claims to end transfer industry in the School Education Department. He has sought a detailed report on the blunders committed by the officers/ officials at the helm of affairs for necessary action in this regard, sources added. On the other hand, apparently disturbed over the detection of alleged irregularities in transfers and postings, the Director School Education Jammu is purportedly mulling to seek her own transfer from the present posting and even talked to the Minister of State, School Education in this regard, sources informed. Sources further said that the Director has claimed her innocence in alleged irregularities and passed the buck to two officials in the Directorate, who were instrumental in preparing the list of transfers and postings. More ironic is the fact that these two officials, who are not from clerical cadre but teachers, were infect adjusted in the Directorate by the incumbent Director herself.
