PDD Xen gives undertaking to construct bridge over Harni nullah 7/26/2016 11:21:26 PM Early Times Report Jammu, July 26:In a PIL, seeking construction of a bridge over Harni nullah at Mendhar in Poonch, a high court division bench of first puisne judge Ramalingam Sudhakar and Justice B S Walia today closed the PIL after the PDD executive engineer (Xen) gave an undertaking that the bridge would be constructed and made motorable within two months. PDD Xen for Poonch, Mushtaq Ahmed Raina's presence in the court had been sought by the bench. After hearing the two sides, the bench recorded the statement of the Xen. He stated that the bridge could not be made motorable due to rains. He gave un undertaking that the bridge construction would be completed within two months. In view of his assurance, the bench closed the PIL. It was submitted that Ghullata was the most backward village of Mendhar with about 10,000 population. It was connected with Mendhar by a link road known as Harni-B G Road. The pertitioner submitted that due to the non-availability of the bridge, the entire population of the area was facing immense hardships to reach to the town for the last 14 years and in this regard authorities were approached a number of times but nothing was done.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
