Educational institutes pay tributes to kargil Martyrs

Jammu, July 26: To commemorate the historical victory of Indian Armed Force of Kargil War, the students of Rich Harvest School (RHS) Bari Brahmana celebrated the Kargil Vijay Diwas and paid rich tribute to Kargil martyrs. The day is celebrated every year since 1999 in honour of the Kargil War heroes, when India successfully evicted the Pak intruders from the high outposts. A group of students paid homage to the soldiers, who laid down their lives during the Kargil War at Balidan Stambh today; students with their parents took out a march and lit candles and offered rose petals at the Balidan Stambh. Another group of students took out a procession raising slogans in praise of Indian Soldiers and the Martyrs of Kargil War in Bari Brahmana Army ground.
The NCC cadets of GGM Science College celebrated Kargil Vijay Divas in the memory of soldiers who laid their lives to save the honour and integrity of our country here today. According to press release, speaking on the occasion the chief guest Col. Rajesh Kumar, CO 2 J&K Girl battalion discussed the genesis of the conflict and impressed upon the cadets to spread the message that one who serves the country is the soldier, he needs not to wear the uniform, if he has the desire to serve the nation.
Lt. Col. Monisha SRS, CO 2 J&K Boys battalion , who was the guest of honour appreciated the zeal of the cadets she impressed upon the girl cadets to move forward , as they are have equal responsibility to protect the country against the visible as well as invisible enemies.
Dr. Ambedkar Convent School in collaboration with Nirvana Academy today paid tribute to brave Indian soldiers on 17th Kargil Vijay Diwas who laid their lives during the two month long war on the heights of Kargil. Chetna Dogra was the chief guest on the occasion. A candle vigil took place in the premises of Dr. Ambedkar Convent School, in which students as well as staff and teachers of the school participated. Chief Guest Chetna Dogra told children about the importance of Kargil Vijay Diwas. She added that Kargil Vijay Diwas is named after the success of operation Vijay in which Indian army successfully took command of the high outposts which had been captured by Pakistani intruders. Anju Chakku, Cultural activity incharge Dr. Ambedkar convent School thanked President Nirvana Academy for their association in this prestigious programme.
A function was held in the school's auditorium in JKPS Kunjwani to commemorate Kargil Vijay Diwas. The function started with a two minutes silence in honour of the departed souls. Students of senior wing along with teachers, vice-principal and Principal attended the function.
The day marked 17th anniversary of the Indian Armys' spectacular victory over Pakistan Army which had intruded in Kargil sector. Rich tributes were paid through patriotic songs and dance by the students and a short speech by Sir S.K Singh the Principal. At the end Brig. Sukhdev Singh, Director JK Educational Society, gave a brief on conduct of the operations. He also paid rich tributes to the martyrs.
The staff and students were very emotional as they grasped the details of the operations. The function culminated with everyone joining to sing the national anthem.
G.S.Accounts Institute , lower Moti Bazar, Parade, Jammu, salutes brave heroes on Kargil Vijay Diwas and tributes were paid to the martyrs of the Kargil war. 26th July 1999 will go down in the annals of the Indian History as a day when the determined Indian force achieved a glorious victory over the intruders. Proprietor Cum Faculty Girish Sharma Along with along with their Students celebrates the 17th anniversary of its triumph in Kargil War. This is also an occasion that invokes feelings of both pain and pride for the families of the brave jawans who laid down their lives protecting the territory of India from intruders.
The Kargil heroes a total of 522 gallant soldiers who fought against all odds in the icy heights of Kargil a remote region in the State of J and K were paid homage by the students of G.S.Accounts Institute.
