Land grabbing galore in Mendhar 7/26/2016 11:32:10 PM MS Nazki Early Times Report poonch, July 26: There is constant increase in land grabbing incidents in Mendhar town of this frontier district allegedly with the active connivance of revenue officials. In a recent incident, notorious land grabbers have an eye on a piece of land in Qasim Nagar of Bus Stand area falling under Khasra No 555, sources said here today. On the edge of Mendhar Nallah, the encroachers with the connivance of Patwari Gohlad want to grab the land which falls under Khasra No. 555 situated at Qasim Nagar in close vicinity of Bus stand Mendhar. "As the grabbers are highly influential and enjoy the support of some revenue officials including Patwari Gohlad no one dares to oppose them while the poor family who own the land, were not in a position to oppose them and protect their property"said the sources. Some locals of the area blamed patwari Gohlad for his misdeeds and his associations with land grabbers who while sharing their views with Early Times said that even tehsildar Mendhar was shielding the corrupt Patwari who has many pending inquiries in various corruption cases, they added.
