Locals protest against PHE Deptt, block road 7/26/2016 11:58:08 PM Early Times Report rajouri, July 26: Due to alleged callous approach of the PHE Department, the dirty and unhygienic water is being supplied in Bela Colony forcing the people to come to roads against the PHE Deptt today and block the Abdullah Bridge for hours together in support of supply of clean water. The residents of Bela Colony here on Tuesday held a protest against PHE department over its failure in providing supply of clean drinking water to the localities and blocked the main road at Abdullah Bridge for hours. "No attention is being paid towards the repairing of existing supply lines which due to some leakages giving chance to mixing of water with sewage water and thus dirty and unsafe water is being supplied to people of area," they said, adding "this not only proving hazard to health but at times turns unfit for other domestic uses". SHO Rajouri, Chaman Gorkha rushed to the spot and pacified the protestors to lift their protest as many people including some patients are being stuck up in road blockade.
