Shiates fraternity expresses concern over Kashmir unrest | | | Early Times Report Jammu, July 26: Following the directions from the President Ashiq Khan a meeting of Shia federation of Jammu province was held at Jammu under the Chairmanship of Sheikh Sajjad Hussain Poonchi- Sr Vice President Shia Federation Jammu in which members expressed concerns over present turmoil in Kashmir Valley and extended heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved families who lost their kin during tense valley. "Describing the deaths of locals as unfortunate, which has left many mothers wailing in pains, members said adding, "as the laps of mothers have gone empty in absence of their children." Shia community also expressed its concerns over the ongoing Amarnath Yatra which was hampered with the sudden rise in violence in valley. Sajjad Poonchi thanked the administration of Jammu Division for handling the situation in time by calling the meeting of the Civil Society and prominent citizens of Jammu to prevent any sort disturbance to provide every sort of help to the stranded pilgrims. Members recalled the traditions of Jammu where lion and goat shared their drinking water in the olden time and since than similar traditions of harmony are observed by the jammuites even during 30 yrs during the turmoil when it remained a face of harmony and oneness to show tolerance and the people of region Meantime Speakers urged to the centre to address the diplomatic track under the confidence building measures by implementing the road map on the principles of Zhamoohriyat, Insaaniyat And Kashmiriyat, given by the former Prime minister of India Atal Bihari Vaajapayi and stressed for the reconciliation between the two countries on J and K State to shun the violence and retractile the pace of development in State can be possible |
