Early Times Report

JAMMU, Aug 2: Volunteers of NSUI-the students wing of the Indian National Congress Tuesday came under strong criticism from various quarters including right wing student organizations when NSUI leaders were found participating in the Sadh Budhi Yagya, outside Jammu University campus ironically with shoes on.
Barring two members and a local priest all others who were seen offering religious rituals while wearing shoes on.
Opponents of the NSUI and other student leaders termed it as a publicity gimmick only. The student leaders from the right wing organisations also accused them of hurting the sentiments by participating in a ritual without following the traditions.
Taking a jibe on NSUI leadership, they said that instead of performing religious rituals to give Sadh Budhi (intellect) to BJP leaders they should perform it to get it for themselves so that they know how to perform religious rituals as per religious values.
Meantime speaking on the occasion NSUI President Neeraj Kundan said that the State of Jammu and Kashmir is passing through a very critical juncture and both Central and State Governments have completely failed on all fronts.
He said that the recent utterances of BJP Ministers including Dy CM Nirmal Singh in favour of dreaded militants like Burhan Wani shows that the mind set of BJP leaders has been deranged and they are unable to differentiate between wrong and right . He said that we have performed Sadh Buddi Yagya with the hope that God will show right path to the BJP and its leadership.
He also criticized the visit of India's Home minister to Pakistan at a time when that country had observed Black Day on the death of Burhan Wani and openly supporting and sponsoring terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir.
Among those who participated in the Yagya included Ajay kumar- National Deligate, Puneet- State Coordinator, Abhishek Dogra, Vishal Kotwal, Shaibaz Kholi, Jaseen Malik, Aftab Keen and many others.
