Early Times Report Jammu, Aug 2: As the unrest in Kashmir entered into its 24rth day, Police on Tuesday said that entire agitation is being managed by Pakistan sponsored terrorists and youth who are dying are being turned into cannon fodder. A top police official while revealing the details of the modus of operandi of the militants while talking to Early Times said, "For past two days miscreants are making desperate attempts to enter into the SOG camp at Imam Sahib Shopian in south Kashmir and since yesterday they have tried to set the camp on fire on many occasions." He said, "Militants and their over-ground workers are first instigate the people to hit the streets and after people come out in form of procession they direct them towards the camps of security forces and Police stations." Sources said, "Police on Tuesday arrested a youth Javed Ahmed of Damal Hanjipora from Imam Sahib Shopian. Investigations revealed that he had led the mob at D H Pora in Anantnag district last month and had burnt the Police Station there. Now he was trying to do the same at Imam Sahib Shopian." They said that Javed's arrest is the tip of the ice-berg. "He (Javed) revealed that armed militants have joined common people and are managing the protests and the rallies." Sources revealed that militants are forcing people to join the protests on gunpoint and anyone who defies their diktat is threatened or beaten to pulp. Militants, according to the sources, are being supported by the activists of Jamaat-e- Islami and they are providing them all the logistic support. Its in place to mention here that south Kashmir has witnessed several bike rallies and demonstrations during the past one week. Reports said two LeT militants also appeared in a rally at Qaimoh Kulgam in south Kashmir on Tuesday and delivered fiery speeches. Sources said, "Security agencies have identified the ring leaders and they would be caught very soon." |
