Jammu, Aug 6: Two engineers of a private construction company were washed away in flash floods in Kathua district and one has been rescued while rescue operation is on in the area.
According to police sources, Naresh Gupta and Raju Shah while inspecting an under construction bridge at Beni nallah in Kathua district were washed away when the water suddenly swelled due to flash floods reported last evening.”
Soon after the incident, police acting swiftly launched a rescue operation with the help of locals, police sources said, adding that Gupta, who had caught a tree, was rescued while efforts are on trace another engineer.
