8/7/2016 10:32:05 AM

Early Times Report
Jammu Aug 6 : In the day long hectic deliberations and discussions in at least three meetings held here, the bottom line was a dose of fresh admonishment with advice to the ministers to perform on the lines party expects them to or face consequences. While Kashmir situation and its fallout on party’s working and image was the core agenda of almost all the engagements during the day involving top brass of RSS and BJP, ministers’ performance remained the crucial part both the core group meeting followed by meeting of legislators, MPs and top level functionaries.
Sources said in the backdrop of consistent complaints against the BJP ministers for a host of reasons received by the leadership, the issue came up for threadbare discussion in the meeting of legislators in which the latter made it all open and known as to why there is disgruntlement and anger growing against the party ministers. While they were highly critical of their (ministers’) performance, it was put forth by the MLAs that there was a systemic failure in their working and inability to perceive the things as also failure to control or rein in certain elements that situation in Kashmir has assumed such a magnitude, sources said.
Sources further said that one of the MLAs who is currently holding MOS charge, despite being a minister too criticized and admitted there were big gaps in the performances of the ministers. While the leadership registered all these viewpoints and suggestions from the members in the meeting, it was in this backdrop the ministers have been asked to hold public darbars to listen to the grievances of the people besides establishing rapport with them, sources said adding that the bottom line was the stern message that they should not lose sight nor deviate from sticking to ground level, instead remain in constant touch with workers and public.
Sources further said that as Kashmir situation came up for discussion, the heart of the matter was no such decision or step should be taken which would demoralize nationalist forces in the Valley. However, at the same time cooperation and coordination between the allies was underlined in dealing with the turbulent situation to steer the Valley out of mess and difficult times it is passing through at present, sources further said.
