Forest guard attached, RO pays on spot visit 8/7/2016 10:46:51 PM MS Nazki Early Times Report Poonch, Aug 6: Forest Range officer Mendhar alone with a team of forest official paid on spot visit to forest compartment No. 170 under khasra No. 41 which has been encroached by an influential person and attached the forest guard with his office, sources said here today. Range officer Mohd Bashir Malik alongwith a team of forest officials of Mendhar range paid on spot visit to Forest compartment No. 170 under khasra No. 41 which has been encroached by an influential Mohd Sadiq son of Mohd Zaman of Pathan Teer with the active connivenience of forest guard Mumlaiz Ahmed who has been attached with the office of Range officer Mendhar, sources said, adding a committee will be constituted to look into the matter as how an influential was able to encroach forest land, convert it into other Khasra by fake girdawari and raised concrete structures over it, they added. It is pertinent to mention that Early Times had carried news item regarding the encroachment of forest land a few days ago. While taking the on spot stock of the situation Range officer MB Malik admitted that 50 to 60 trees old/new have been axed and concrete structures have been raised on the forest land. He said the forest guard seems to be hand in glove with influntial person have been attached and an official inquiry will be ordered in this regard, he added. RO while talking to Early Times confirmed that sub divisional Magistrate Thakur Sher Singh has shot a letter in this regard and directed that demarcation of forest land in compartment No 170 be made afresh and the accused who have been involved in encroaching it and raising concrete structures on it should be booked under law, the SDM added.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
