Situation in Chenab region under control | | | Early Times Report
Kishtwar Aug 6: After observance of shutdown and massive protest against the killings of civilians in Kashmir unrest in post Hizb Commander Burhan Wani killing, many parts of Chenab region including Kishtwar District, Doda,Bhaderwah and Thatri of Doda District are limping towards normalcy as well while situation still is tense but under control in Banihal of Ramban District. Local reports said that majority of protest hit areas of Chenab region are limping towards normalcy while the situation is tense but under control in Banihal of Ramban as police resort to force to disburse the protesters who wants to march on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway. Meanwhile Imam Umar Masjid Kishtwar and separatist leader Molvi Abdul Qayoom Mattoo had called on the people of Chenab region including Kishtwar District to observe 15th August, India's Independence Day as "Black day" in protest against the killings of civilians in Kashmir in which more than 5000 people were injured so far. He said that the people will continue to raise its voice until and unless the centre will not agreed to implement the UN resolution on holding plebiscite in Jammu and Kashmir. |
