Srinagar, Aug 10: Senior Congress leader and Opposition leader in Rajya Sabha Ghulam Nabi Azad today asked the Narendra Modi led government that while J&K is an integral part of India, but there needs to be integration of hearts between people of India and Kashmir. In his speech in Rajya Sabha on Kashmir situation, Azad said he does not blame any particular government for the situation in Kashmir. "But we need to share the pain. Kashmir is under curfew, so many people have been injured," he said. The former J&K CM said militants must not be spared, but there is a difference between communalism and separatism. "Militants are militants, they don't have any religion. Whether militants are from Kashmir or from Punjab or ISIS," he said. The senior Congress leader said, "We always talk Kashmir is integral part of India, but there needs to be integration of hearts. We need to win heart of people of Kashmiri people," he said. He also said that the statement from Modi about Kashmir should have come from parliament and not from the remote area of Madhya Pradesh. "Every day from 10 am to 6 pm, the PM stays in his office here in Parliament," he said. |
